iMusician is a music application targeted toward the working musician or music student. It provides some very useful tools to help musicians rehearse alone or when rehearsing with others. It can also be of use to others who rehearse with music such as dancers and other performing artists.
iMusician allows you to easily divide any song into different segments, label them, and then jump to the segments quickly and have them repeat. For example you can divide the song into “Intro”, “Verse”, “Chorus”, etc. You can also apply various effects to help speed up the learning process, such as slowing down the tempo without changing the pitch, transposing to a different key and also adjusting the pitch slightly to align to your instrument rather then retuning your instrument.
iMusician has a user interface that is extremely useable allowing the user to quickly move between different parts and apply effects to them. In rehearsal situations this access speed proves quite valuable when band members are trying to sort out a contested section.
iMusician allows song import from the iOS Media Library, as well as import via WiFi from a computer.
The application is rated 17+ as it contains a web browser for use in downloading songs to the application.
